Welcome To The United States

Dear Friends,

Welcome to the United States.  This website is for adults of any age who have immigrated to the United States and who want to learn English or become U.S. citizens.  Learning English is the most important thing you can do to help you succeed in the United States.

Below are links to citizenship forms, videos and ways to practice citizenship test questions--all free--to help you prepare for citizenship. The columns on the left and right of this page link to affordable books that are formatted to make the test materials easier to read and study. There are also links to many websites where you can practice English and improve your vocabulary, reading and writing--even your speaking and conversation.

: Click here to Practice with USCIS's Multiple Choice Citizenship Test (Civics Questions Practice)  (remember that the real test is oral, not multiple choice.) The books on the side bars have these questions and answers printed in order; the English and Multiple Language editions also have paper flashcards.

How To Become A U.S.Citizen: The 4 Parts of the Citizenship Test

There are 4 parts to the citizenship interview.  (1) Questions about your N-400 form; (2) 10 questions of the 100 Civics Questions (see recommended books on this page); (3) Reading a sentence in English; (4) Writiing a sentence in English.

If you want to become a citizen, the USCIS (formerly INS) video above will help you understand what you need to do.
